The 15th DAP National Convention was held on 23rd August to 24th August 2008 in Kuala Lumpur. The 2 days convention also saw the election of the DAP central committee members with Sdr Lim Kit Siang, the DAP advisor obtaining the highest votes followed by Sdr Lim Guan Eng, the DAP secretary general who is also the Penang CM.PJ Utara MP Sdr Tony Pua was one of the newcomer elected to the CC.

DAP Salak South N/V suceessfully organised 2D/1N trip to Penang and was warmly welcome by the Chief Minister Sdr Lim Guan Eng at the Komtar building where the state administration is located.DAP SSNV also brought along the Rocket banners to the building to have some memorable photos taken with YB Lim who is also DAP Secretary General.
